Be an uptown girl this Saturday, but only spend what you would in a downtown world. Start with a cheap eats fave, the classic Jewish deli Lansky’s. Sink your teeth into grilled cheese ($9.25), made with cheddar, crispy pastrami and tomato on rye, and eat as many sour pickles and as much creamy homemade coleslaw as you can–they’re on the house!

From there, enter Central Park at 72nd Street. Walk east to SummerStage and take in the Steuben Parade Oktoberfest, starting at 1:30pm. Once the oompahs start to push you over the edge, walk out of the park and hit up Sally Mann, “Proud Flesh” at Gagosian Gallery. The photographer trained the lens on her 61-year-old husband, Larry Mann, who has muscular dystrophy. Larry spoke to TONY about the experience–bourbon was involved.

Continue on for more free culture at the Museum of American Illustration for the closing day of Lynne Foster’s New York-inspired images. Also on display is one of TONY’s big fall shows, “Spectrum: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art”.

By now you’ll need a drink, and some food, and some music probably. Afro-Peruvian Tutuma has you covered (with no cover). Order some small plates and a drink with the $20 in your pocket and enjoy the Gabriel Alegría Afro-Peruvian Sextet and the jazz-infused Peruvian lando and festejo rhythms they play.

    Things to do: Five
    Cost: $30
