Your plans to roll at Brooklyn Bowl may have been gathering moss, but tonight the long-awaited Williamsburg alley gets a “soft launch.” To put it another way, they’re bowling with the gutter guards up. However, this does mean advance lane reservations don’t start until the summer, so those with a lackadaisical approach to booking (probably everybody in Williamsburg) may be able to bag one of the 16 lanes. Though, do try and organize some friends to join you, $40 per hour is kinda steep to roll solo.
Brooklyn Bowl will be operating at reduced hours (Sun, Tue–Thu 6pm–2am; Fri–Sat 6pm–4am) until late summer and is only open to a 21+ crowd. The food by Blue Ribbon will also be brought in with baby steps. Starting on July 10, they’ll serve a small snack menu, expanding it incrementally until the full menu is rolled out August 4. They do have beer though, with ten local drafts ready to pour.
