Christina and Fritz of HiChristina are throwing “Billy Cut-off Jeans!!! The Michael Jackson Memorial Dance Party” (10pm, suggested donation $5, BYOB) tonight, honoring the complicated, fun, interesting and strange sides of the pop icon and the wave of ambitious musicians that came after him. For instance, in honor of the Talking Heads and their big suits, you’re encouraged to wear an oversize sport coat.

There’s going to be some intense dancing, including a Michael Jackson dance-off, broken up with party games to cool down. Don’t worry if you’re not the best dancer, there’s a compliment corner where you can go for an injection (not literally) of confidence.

During the breaks they’ll be playing “Note Passing While Running from Teacher,” a version of Duck Duck Goose in which, if your note is called, you have to run over to a station to comb someone’s hair while a “teacher” chases you. You’ll also get the chance to roll up your pants and be in a sing-along dance-along music video.

There’s more, but like Michael Jackson, we want to maintain an air of mystery.
