Legendary provocateur Luis Buñuel made a tiny step toward the mainstream with this lovably perverse 1967 melodrama, about a bored housewife who becomes a prostitute. She’s played by Catherine Deneuve. That should be enough to get you salivating. The movie’s on tonight at the French Institute Alliance Française at 4pm (run!) and 7:30pm.
