On TV Tonight: Man vs. Wild vs. Will Ferrell

Posted in TV by Allison Williams on June 2nd, 2009 at 1:33 pm

TONIGHT: Man vs. Wild (10pm on Discovery)

    Steve Rankin/Discovery Channel

    Steve Rankin/Discovery Channel

Where can we place an order for less Will Ferrell? We would’ve liked approximately 20 percent less of the comedian on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien last night (say, cut that whole carried-in-by-slaves entrance?). We’re expecting to need 30 percent less of his presidential mugging on this weekend’s Tony Awards. It’s not like Will Ferrell is a bad thing; pairing him with Bear Grylls to tromp around the Swedish wilderness is a great idea, because killing a movie star might be the one thing that actually scares the crazy Grylls. But hasn’t anyone in the Ferrell camp heard of a tiny little thing called overkill?

ya know… a little bit of a thing called TIME-ZONE would help… YA THINK?

seriously, i dont care about Greenwich Mean Time, or 24hour clocks any more than the “next guy”, but you should be “tageting a select audience” of people that have STANDARD WATCHES, and Live in the “world” where THEIR Timezone is what matters, not the other side of the World, or Nation…

With all this technology, what a dissapointment, 11pmET … yeah, ok.. i can count by 4’s! ive also seen 10pm, well yeah, SOMEWHERE at 10pm it on..

leaves me wondering just how many “potential watchers” of shows not providing an adequate (read: EASY) form of even FINDING out just WHAT TIME it is ON… (oh, yeah, i mean IN MY TIME ZONE), what a waste, i would have loved to watch, even TAPE this IF I COULD FIND A DEFINATE TIME..

I dont much care to set my dvr to record 10 hours “just to catch a show” that is only airing for 60minutes…

puhleeze.. I suppose i should have “little post-it notes” on my TV to remind me of “how many hours differnce YOU are broadcasting from”, that would work, i guess, but i dont releax in front of the TV to “work”, i choose to watch what i can ENJOY, and appearantly DISCOVERY is just to BIG of a “thing” to be SIMPLE …. im sure i aint the only one that gets frustrated having to “google” what time a simple SHOW is on.. your site is worthless in any effect to even come across it. so much “for the little people in the world that would have liked to support your show, that cant get a straight answer.”

      SeeYaz.
*thumbsdown* on consumer-friendly tv from you.
