We’re just recovering from four days and nights of nonstop Pride: First there was the new girl party in the East Village, Gold Star (organized by the Proposition folks), on Thursday night; then Friday found us avoiding the rain and watching the sun set at Hudson Terrace, at an after-work soiree for queer women (thanks to Susan St. Peter, organizer of Out with the Girls wine meet-up).
On Saturday, after the Dyke March, it was time to start drinking: Rapture on the River, a dance party on Pier 54, was followed by an after-party at the Chelsea Brewing Company a few blocks away. Both shindigs provided chances to mingle with fellow queers while taking in river views.
Sunday’s parade kicked off at noon and was led by grand marshals Cleve Jones, Anne Kronenberg and Dustin Lance Black; the boys then had their dance party on the pier, while the girls headed off to Stiletto at the Maritime Hotel Cabanas (organized by the delectable Maggie C, who also runs Eden on Wednesday nights). Local famous folk were soaking up the atmosphere too: We saw Kate Clinton watching the parade at 42nd Street, and Jenny Shimizu and her girlfriend, Susie Kenna, at Stiletto. But don’t just take our word for all of this: Check out our slide show of queers marching, parading, drinking, dancing and, most importantly, wearing nothing but metallic body paint. Thank you, ladies.

Thank you for the kind words!!
