This Wednesday 15 is Tax Day, so grab your possible future joint filer and head to Comix (353 W 14th St between Eighth and Ninth Aves; 212-244-8824, comixny.com) for a 7:30pm showing of five knockout comedians, the “Five for $5 Tax Rebate Showcase.” Pay $10 ($5 per person) at the door and they’ll return the cash at the end of the show. Of course, there’s a two-menu-items-per-person minimum, but the molten chocolate cake ($8) and draft beer ($7) are hardly budget busting. After a few dozen chuckles, retire to their main bar, where bartenders will be slinging $3 draft beers and $5 margaritas and mojitos from 9 to 11pm. Just make sure you save your receipts—you can try to deduct this date next year!
