TONIGHT: In the Motherhood (8pm on ABC)
Children, like deep-fried pickles and Lifetime movie marathons, are equal parts brilliant and horrifying. This new sitcom starring Cheryl Hines and Megan Mullally (thankfully shedding her squeaky Will & Grace voice) tries to capture the humor in that split, following several manic mommies as they balance the perks and perils of parenthood. Family types can appreciate the laughs inherent to prenatal yoga or adolescents torturing pets, but the rest of us may just run out to stock up on birth control.
