Fans of Natasha Khan’s fantastical electropop would do well to hotfoot it to the Bat for Lashes Myspace page and check out Dave Sitek’s remix of her track “Sleep Alone,” under the pseudonym 909s in the Dark. How’s it sound? Stark, moody and bleepy. (Check out our review of Khan’s Two Suns album here.) Also on the site is the new video for “Pearl’s Dream”—Pearl being Khan’s Sasha Fierce–style alter ego—which finds our heroine leaping about with a wolf, all the while being watched by, um, herself, wearing a blond wig. Says one Volume staffer: “It’s like the Laura Palmer writhing in ecstasy scene in Twin Peaks.” And if that ain’t reason enough…
