    My SXSW: By Sam Amidon

Posted in The Volume by The Volume on March 23rd, 2009 at 12:37 pm

In addition to sending two of our own expert scribes to SXSW this year, TONY also enlisted the guest-blogging services of several of our favorite local artists. Our first dispatch comes from the compelling avant-folkie Sam Amidon. Check out his extremely graphic (literally) festival recap and a performance below.

whether we know it, Sam Amidon breaks the little pieces of heart we all have invested in music. Trials Troubles Tribulations is a fantastic adaptation of E.C. Ball’s original.

Sam is great! He played at my record store in italy together with Ryland Bouchard and it was the shortest most ecstatic show ever seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORsmOB_4U0c
