Expect a café serving the jewel-like chocolate confections pictured in this sneak peek slide show (what you see above are layered desserts called verrines). I was there at FC Chcocolate bar on 11/7/09. I tried the hot chocolate and pastry and it was great.

OK chocolate lovers, your D.R.E.A.M just came true!!!!!! Francois Payard is back in NYC, actually on the 4th Floor of Mauboussin on Madison Avenue between 63rd and 64th street, we were all waiting for that and he did it…I was there again this afternoon, I mean I have already ate there almost 3 times since the opening last week. It is a very sleek and modern decor, new concept and new lines of pastries, macarons, hot chocolates, etc….I simply love it and you got to give it to Francois: the dough boy definitely know how to bounce back…..Go and indulge yourself, chocolate do make better people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very European concept, delicious new pastries. You can order Thanksgiving and Christmas cakes on the website. Very happy to have Payard back. He’s very passionate about chocolate and desserts and couldn’t do without.
It is very cool how you pass by this very posh jewelry shop to go upstairs.
Don’t forget to try the dessert with the balsamic thing on it.
