Fresh on the heels of the unfortunate news that Chanterelle will not reopen after shuttering for renovations comes word that Café Boulud will open its doors once more this Wednesday, after closing in late August for a cosmetic refresh. The restaurant’s midcentury-modern look remains, but with all new upholstery, fixtures and lighting, plus two new 14-seat private dining rooms. Bar Pleiades, Boulud’s new cocktail spot next door, is expected to open sometime around the 15th.
