FergusStock 2009: The menus, reservation sweepstakes and more

Fergus Henderson, man of the hour.

Fergus Henderson, man of the hour

People are talking about FergusStock ‘09, the third annual Fergus Henderson exchange program, brought to you by the folks at The Spotted Pig, and soon, The Breslin. In fact, this year’s trio of meals marks a few firsts: According to Pig/Breslin owner Ken Friedman, Britain’s top nose-to-tail chef will be staging his first-ever restaurant breakfast at the Breslin’s hangover brunch, Saturday, October 17. The event will also kick off chef April Bloomfield’s breakfast-brunch program. How about that!

After the jump, view the menus for the October 15, 16 and 17 meals, plus your chance to win a reservation for you and up to five guests on any of these days. (These are no-resy restaurants, people, so this may be your best shot at tasting dishes from the king of offal without going to London.)

Feast your eyes on these tasty-sounding dishes, straight from the twisted mind of St. John’s Fergus Henderson. First, a couple of things you should know: Half of the menu will include Henderson’s creations, and the other half are the work of Ms. Bloomfield. The creator of each item will be clearly marked on the menu. The offerings are all à la carte, and may change slightly from what is written below, depending on ingredient availability.

Three lucky Feed readers can get reservations for themselves and up to five friends at one of the following meals. (Nothing free, folks, just reservations—which are pretty valuable in themselves.) The winners will be selected randomly—just e-mail fergusstock@timeoutny.com and write “FergusStock” in the subject line. Winners will be selected randomly, and you can enter as many times as you like. Contest ends at 11:59pm on Monday, October 12.

Enter as many times as you like? You’re just asking for people with spambots to flood your mailboxes with repeated identical messages.

      Advantage: people with spambots.

Maybe “one entry per email address” would work better.

Got Gypped! I went by this menu, and missed the braised pigs head, which was actually at THE BRESLIN dinner not at the Spotted Pig. Next time I’ll fact check. (pie was good though!) oink!
