This in seconds ago: Restaurateur-turned-interior-designer Ken Friedman (Spotted Pig, John Dory) is shopping right now for antiques at the Brimfield Fair in scenic Massachusetts. (The drama!) Hoping to score decorative goods for the Breslin, his Ace Hotel dive bar, and yes, Locanda Verde. For all you hotel groupies: The official Ace opening is Thursday. For all you resto groupies: None of the Ace kitchens will be finished in time, but team Friedman-Bloomfield will be at the ready with snacks in the lobby: Almonds, olives, potato chips. Ooooh, yes!
