Still wondering where to dine this afternoon, lower Manhattanites? Terrance Brennan’s new casual restaurant, Bar Artisanal, has plenty of seats, and now they’re serving lunch. Highlights on the sprawling menu include the pissaladières, Southern French thin-crust pizzas, with toppings such as caramelized onion, anchovies and olives (pictured left). Happily, few dishes top $15. See the full lunch menu and more details on the spanking-new weekend brunch, starting this Saturday, after the jump.
The eclectic lunch, with what seems to be a French and Mediterranean focus, is served Monday through Friday from 11:45am to 5pm, and brunch hours are Saturday and Sunday, 11am–5pm. Though the weekend offerings aren’t finalized, here are some dishes that may pique your interest: beignets with cinnamon and sugar ($8); almond-croissant pain perdu with ricotta ($12); scrambled eggs with clams and chorizo ($15); pork-belly hash with poached egg, sweet potato and a smoked-chili hollandaise ($16).
