Baoguette appears to be on an expansion roll. The popular banh mi shop from Thao Nguyen and Michael “Bao” Huynh is about to open an East Village location, and now their PR reps tell us that a third is slated to open by mid-April in the West Village, at 120 Christopher Street, in what appears to be the former location of Mama’s Mudsliders. In addition to their selection of banh mi sandwiches—which will be served from a counter in the front of the space—40 seats in the back will be dedicated to a new concept they are calling “Pho Sure,” selling…drumroll, please…pho noodle soups.
