    Batch survives the weekend

Posted in Eat Out by Gabriella Gershenson on March 23rd, 2009 at 9:11 am

Passion fruit rice pudding at Batch.

The Feed visited Pichet Ong’s cupcakerie-and-more, Batch, yesterday afternoon to wish the chef well, and buy a few final slices of coffee cake. To our surprise (and Ong’s) the bakery will be staying open for a few days longer (it looks like his restaurant, p*ong, did bite the dust, as promised). When The Feed asked Ong for details, he explained breathlessly “things are still in the works, but the landlord’s given us a few extra days—check my Facebook!” We did, and this is what we found: “Pichet is grateful for the love and support from everyone over this past weekend, so Batch continues to be open for a bit longer. Stay tuned… .”
