    Julian Schnabel’s secret dining room?

    Did Schnabel enjoy a few steaks while working at the Old Homestead?

    That Meatpacking District staple Old Homestead Steakhouse is halving its real estate has already been duly reported. But it sounds like the meatery has delivered on its promise of “commissioned artwork from famous artists.”

    We hear the design of a snug, new private dining room came courtesy of Julian Schnabel—the artist, director and occasional interior designer (see his brash, edgy aesthetic on display at the Gramercy Park Hotel). Details are thin: photographs on the walls, writing on the tables and a large wine cabinet.

    Got a camera phone and Danny Ocean–like maneuvers? We’re listening.…
