One of the cons of living an above–14th Street existence is the very limited window of time for enjoying certain downtown food destinations. When said foodie stop is open one day of the weekend only, well that complicates matters further. Okay, I’ll stop being coy: I am talking specifically about the Essex Street Market. Imagine my glee, then, at seeing this bit of news from cheesemonger Anne Saxelby:
Beginning this Sunday, and continuing every Sunday till New Year’s, the market will be open from 10am to 4pm for your dinner party-ing, Sunday supper-ing, holiday entertaining needs.
Couldn’t have said it better myself. So, do you think they can keep those hours going year-round? Something to aspire to in the New Year…
