The latest in the ever-changing 10 Downing news: Per KBHall PR, the new opening date is November 12. The reason for debuting a couple days earlier than recently planned? Why, the friends and family dinners are allegedly going so well, the owners say, "What the hey!" If you walk by tonight and notice that the restaurant is already hopping, that’s because the paper is coming down off the windows for the Halloween parade. It’s technically closed to the public until next Saturday, but word is some civilians have managed to sneak into the bar and get served. How could they? Chef Jason Neroni’s vittles—again per the publicist, so take with a salt mine—such as rabbit sausage with pretzel bread, marinated brussels sprouts with anchovy vinaigrette and a poached egg, and Rhode Island scallops with smoked pumpkin puree—have been pleasing the invitation-only crowds. Wanna crash the party? The address is easy to remember.
