No, it’s not another recap of Dancing with the Stars, but a live impromptu performance from our favorite amateur waltzer, Rocco DiSpirito, at the NYC Food and Wine Fest this afternoon. Overheard, girl in the pink dress to the Roccster: "You are so strong!" Slick Rocco to the girl, "You just gotta let go." You tell her, Rocco. It’s that ethos that the many happy munchers brought with them today to the Grand Tasting, the Food Fest feeding frenzy at Pier 54. Despite the A+ organization of the thing (first you get your wrist band, then your wine glass…), hordes were pushing through Pier 54 for Hypnotiq cocktails with rock-candy swizzle sticks, hand-made bratwurst from Cookshop, and hundreds more edibles and potables.
