Calling all molecular gastronomy fiends: Tickets to the Astor Center’s November 6 cookbook release of Grant Achatz’s first Alinea cookbook go on sale tomorrow. The 2008 James Beard Award winner for Best Chef will prepare five signature Alinea bites, along with Grand Siècle de Laurent-Perrier, a rare champagne. The cost, $225, is a lot less than a trip to Chicago. Tickets are available through Astor Center’s website.
