Girls, boys, maybe you’ve heard. Demigod with a stockpot David Chang (Momofuku Noodle and Ssäm Bars) is opening a new restaurant: Momofuku Ko—12 seats, no phone, no menu to speak of. We touched base with the Momo man to see what’s what with the East Village eatery. What will you be serving us, Chang? What will it cost us? Where do we sign up? His response: “There’s no master plan. Everyone thinks I’m bullshitting when I say this: We have no idea what the fuck we’re doing.”
What that means: Though early reports call out the Asian inflections that are the signature of the Momo empire, Chang tells us the ink’s not dry: “Next week we could be doing tacos,” he says. Hey, the burrito worked out all right…
