Talk about hurting the little guy: Citigroup’s much publicized financial woes, which resulted in a $45 billion government bailout, also mean the end of its beloved holiday train show. The beleagured company is withdrawing sponsorship of the display after this season ends, so if your family plans to take in the expansive model railway, catch it by January 2. Continuing the free-to-the-public display next year would cost Citigroup about $240,00—a lot of money to most of us, but a paltry sum to a company that is spending $400 million to slap its name on Shea Stadium 2.0. As a Queens resident, I call shenanigans.
