What qualifies a restaurant for Eat Out '07?

The majority of this year's participating eateries were honored in the 2007 Time Out New York Eat Out Awards. They were selected as Critics Picks by Time Out's food editors or were a winner or nominee in the Readers' Choice categories. A few of the remaining restaurants were selected by our editors as outstanding restaurants, and/or were honored with Eat Out awards in previous years.

Is Eat Out '07 a charity event?

Time Out New York has been a proud supporter of the Food Bank For NYC for many years. As in the previous four years, a portion of the proceeds from Eat Out '07 will be donated to the Food Bank, which in turn provides food for approximately 250,000 free meals served each day by more than 1,000 emergency and community food programs in the five boroughs.
