Here’s proof that nobody really goes to Green Dolphin Street for the food: They closed their restaurant in May, and not a single person seems to have noticed. Of course, that’s why they closed it in the first place. “It wasn’t generating enough money,” manager Byron Dorsey says.
But soon, Green Dolphin will reopen their restaurant under a new name, Orvieto. And the new spot will be a pizza-and-wine bar (traditional stuff like pies with mozz, potatoes and rosemary). The transition won’t take place until sometime after Labor Day, but if you can’t wait, get your ass on that dance floor: The chef is testing out Orvieto’s recipes on the club’s bar menu now.

Monday night, weekly raging get-down Rehab moved to a new home, Debonair Social Club, from its previous home base at Evil Olive, and by most reports it did pretty nicely. We’d suspect that many Rehab regulars didn’t get the message—Evil Olive has unfurled a new Monday night party called Tweet.
TOC intern Raf reports that the Rehab crew “showcased an impressive bill of versatile party starters with a lineup of Team Bayside High, Yello Fever, the Hood Internet, Bald Eagle and Autobot of Flosstradamus fame. Autobot skillfully intertwined loud, upbeat bangers with old-school classics to get the crowd going. However, the real challenge for Debonair going forward will be to placate partiers who prefer Evil Olive’s two-tier setup, roomier dance floor and 4 a.m. closing time. The downstairs level, which was closed last night, is arguably a more appealing location for Rehab goers to cut up a rug.”
We’re curious to see how Green Dolphin Street’s Boom Boom Room works as the after-party spot—it may be too far for Rehab partiers to make the trek.
In the meantime, Everyoneisfamous.com photographer Clayton Hauck was there to document the debauchery—we’ve got the photos to prove it.
