Law & Order 7-8pm, NBC. Elliott Gould guest stars as an elderly man defending his shop from an armed robbery, but as the detectives look deeper, there may be more to the incident than meets the eye.

Medium 8-9pm, CBS. Allison develops a sensitivity to light and the sunglasses she begins wearing reveal numbers that may relate to people’s life expectancies. Perhaps she can get the guys from Numb3rs to help her out with that.

Larry the Cable Guy’s Hula-Palooza Christmas Luau 8-9:30pm, CMT. The blue collar comedian rings in the holiday season with musical numbers, sketches and guests including Caroline Rhea and SNL’s Kenan Thompson.

Community 7-7:30pm, NBC. The team nominates Jeff to state their case with Señor Chang after he assigns a mountain of homework, but the plan backfires when the two men buddy up.

FlashForward 7-8pm, ABC. Demetri’s FBI buddies work to discover the identity of the caller that warned him of his murder.

Parks and Recreation 7:30-8pm, NBC. In another effort to prove that she can hang with the guys, Leslie invites herself on Ron’s annual hunting trip. I can’t be the only thinking that firearms in the hands of any of these characters seems like a bad idea.

The Office 8-8:30pm, NBC. When Michael is invited to attend a shareholder’s meeting by David Wallace, he brings Oscar, Dwight and Andy along, as well. I’m the shareholders will be very impressed.

Fringe 8-9pm, FOX. An strange abduction in Boston leads the Fringe division back to the mysterious man referred to as The Observer.

The Mentalist 9-10pm, CBS. The CBI team faces a violent crime in their own office and must work to solve it.

The New Adventures of Old Christine 7-7:30pm, CBS. Christine set Richard up with a woman from her gym (Jennifer Grey).

America’s Next Top Model 7-8pm, CW. The winning model is chosen and Eddie Murphy makes an appearance.

Criminal Minds 8-9pm, CBS. To aid in tracking a killer that has been murdering families, the team must insight from their own version of Hannibal Lecter, called “The Fox” (Neal Jones).

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit 8-9pm, NBC. DNA evidence at a crime scene suggests that Detective Benson is the killer and her partner fights to prove her innocence.

Modern Family 8-8:30pm, ABC. This freshman comedy gets a boost tonight from some celebrity star power. Elizabeth Banks guests as a party girl friend of Mitchell and Cam’s and Oscar nominee Edward Norton shows up with his mullet on to to play Phil’s favorite musician, Izzy LaFontaine.

Glee 8-9pm, FOX. Mr. Schuester has glee club split into pairs to sing their favorite ballads, but when he is forced to step in for a sick student he finds himself in a precarious position.

Cougar Town 8:30pm, ABC. In an effort to get Ellie and Laurie to get along, Jules persuades them to go on a wild weekend to celebrate her birthday.

NCIS 7-8pm, CBS. The team investigates the the death of lieutenant, linked to a citywide blackout.

Merry Madagascar 7-7:30pm, NBC. Couldn’t get enough of those crazy talking zoo animals in the movies? This holiday-themed animated special brings them all back, featuring the original character voices of David Schwimmer, Ben Stiller and Jada Pinkett Smith.

The Biggest Loser 7:30-9pm, NBC. Tim Gunn and Tabatha Coffey drop by to lend their style savvy to the show’s contestants.

V 7-8pm, ABC. The visitors start receiving the first batch of diplomatic visas. Imagine what Lou Dobbs would have to say about this!

Melrose Place 8-9, CW. Original series star Heather Locklear visits the titular apartment complex to stir up some fresh melodrama.

How I Met Your Mother 7-7:30pm, CBS. Ladies, Barney Stinson is single again and he’s ready to fire up the New York dating scene.

Heroes 7-8pm, NBC. The battle between Matt and Syler continues. Meanwhile, in real life, Greg Grunber and Zachary Quinto fight over who can get the most Twitter followers. Which one will be more exciting?

Gossip Girl 8-9pm, CW. Lady Gaga swings by the show to give a private concert to NYU students that Blair hopes will impress.

The Big Bang Theory 8:30-9pm, CBS. While the rest of the boys are out on a camping trip, an injured Penny must rely on Sheldon to help her out.

The Jay Leno Show 9-10pm, NBC. Jay Leno will attract a higher percentage of the teen girl audience than ever before when he chats with Twilight werewolf, Taylor Lautner.

Castle 9-10pm, ABC. While trying to solve the murder of an Assistant District Attorney, Castle becomes distracted by a need to help a vulnerable call girl he meets during the investigation. Such a ladies man.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition 7-8pm, ABC. David Duchovny takes a break from Californicating to help build a home for a leukemia survivor.

The Simpsons 7-7:30pm, FOX. Marge poses for racy photos for a local charity. Man, once a girl poses for Playboy she’ll just take it off for anyone.

The Prisoner 7-9pm, AMC. The remake of the cult 60’s series of the same name stars James Caviezel and Oscar nominee Ian McKellen. Caviezel plays a man who has been kidnapped and sent to a remote island, ominously named “The Village.”

Three Rivers 8-9pm, CBS. And you thought after Mandy Patinkin bailed out of his last CBS drama by just not showing up to the table read that he’d never get a job at this network again. Of course, tonight he will be playing the part of car crash victim refusing medical treatment, so it’s not exactly a long-term gig.

Desperate Housewives 8-9pm, ABC. Does ABC have some kind of weird share in Dominic Monaghan’s success. I like hobbits as much as the next girl, but he really doesn’t need to be in every one of your shows, guys.

The Matrix 7-10pm, AMC. You know it’s been 10 years since this movie was in theaters? Why not celebrate how old I just made you feel by watching it edited for television and fattened up with commercial breaks.

Bring It On 7-8:45pm, ENCORE. Have you been missing Dollhouse on Friday nights? Fill that Eliza Dushku sized hole in your heart by revisiting this cheeky cheerleading comedy.

Community 7-7:30pm, NBC. When Annie’s debate partner drops out just before the championship, the dean convinces Jeff to join. Naturally, he thinks he’ll win it easy, but it turns out he’s got something of a formidable opponent.

FlashForward 7-8pm, ABC. When you know your wife had a premonition that she was going to cheat on you, the best way to avoid that might not be cutting short your weekend getaway for work. Just saying.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation 8-9pm, CBS. The three-way CSI crossover concludes tonight as the Las Vegas team helps Langston close the case that has taken him to Miami and New York.

Grey’s Anatomy 8-9pm, ABC. Kim Raver stars as Owen’s fellow Iraqi War vet, who has he’s recruited as the new cardiothoracic surgeon.

30 Rock 8:30-9pm, NBC. Tracy and Jenna re-think their treatment of Kenneth when the new TGS cast member proves to be quite low-maintenance.

Project Runway 9-10pm, LIFE. It’s the beginning of the end in this first part of the season 6 finale.

This either means Dec has a lot more going on that some people in the nightlife scene give him credit for or just that people in Chicago need to make more documentaries. You make the call.
