Last night at Fulton Market hotspot Lumen, TOC readers and all-around sexy people partied with burlesque performers and took in a fashion show from Akira for the Sex Issue launch. Here’s a peek at what went down.

We’ve got a few pairs of tickets available for Thursday night’s Sex Issue party, 7-10pm, at Lumen—and guess what? We’re giving them away. Email promotions@timeoutchicago.com and we’ll enter you in a drawing for the tickets. What do they get you? The Sex Issue party is no stodgy affair—there’ll be burlesque performances, a fashion show from Akira, and (this is particularly worth noting) free food and drink. Tickets are $25 at the door for the indecisive, but we just know you’re gonna win. There’s more info at timeoutchicago.com/sexparty.
When was the last time you got down at a really good sex party? Okay, most of you said never, that’s fine. Time to do something about that playaz. To celebrate our upcoming Sex Issue, Time Out is hosting our (no beating around the bush here) Sex Party on Thursday, October 15 at Lumen in the Fulton Market district with a fashion show from Chicago boutique empire Akira. You’ll need a ticket to get your sexy self in—so order now. (Ages 21 and up)

Summer is winding down—but you’ve still got a chance to party on the lake with Time Out Chicago’s final Making Waves event of the summer. Cruise + wine tasting + hors d’oeuvres = memorable night on the lake in our book. Buy tickets now.
The Pitchfork Music Festival has become something regular summer ritual here in Indietown, er, Chicago drawing fans of indie rock and various leftfield music genres from far and wide for three days of sun, sound and good times in Union Park. Taking place Friday July 17–Sunday July 19 2009, this year’s fest is almost completely sold-out—there are a few tickets for Friday night’s show available. That’s where we come in.
E-mail promotions@timeoutchicago with your name, contact information (email and phone number) plus “Pitchfork tickets” in the subject line. All entries must be received before noon tomorrow. One lucky grand-prize winner, selected at random, will receive a pair of three-day passes to Pitchfork Music Festival and lunch for two at Pitchfork Music Festival’s Goose Island Brew Pub Food Booth.
Good food, kind folks and long-haired dudes with guitars… What more could you want?
