DANCE - eighth blackbird with Mark DeChiazza: Pierrot Lunaire
Continuing the cross-disciplinary adventurousness they displayed in last year’s collaboration with choreographer Susan Marshall, avant-chamber ensemble eighth blackbird fleshes out Arnold Schoenberg’s 1912 cycle of sung poems with the help of New York dance maker Mark DeChiazza, with soprano Lucy Shelton as the voice of percussionist Matthew Duvall’s Pierrot.
