Hoboken, New Jersey’s Yo La Tengo (Spanish for “I’ve got it!”), is still at it after 20 years. The indie stalwart band, which brings both Velvet Underground-style rockers and experimental noise into its recordings, made an appearance at the Vic on Tuesday with garage upstarts Cheap Time laying down an opening set. Ira Kaplan jumped between organ and guitar with wife Georgia Hubley on the drums and James McNew on bass—and all three pitching in on vox.
