Gossipy pockets of the Web are buzzing this morning about a supposed “raid” on R. Kelly’s home in southwest suburban Olympia Fields, IL. They’re not legitimate sources, but Black Media Scoop’s Twitter feed and Mediatakeout.com both report a police inquiry.
The more reputable Sun-Times reports this on its Twitter:
R. KELLY UPDATE: Right now, the cops are saying nothing going on, no warrants. Will keep checking and pass any developments along.
Other blogs report that Twitter has helped the rumors spread like wildfire.
The R&B singer is currently in South Africa, providing testimony in a fraud case. What a life.
