World Naked Bike Ride Chicago: Less gas, more ass

Posted in Around Town, Miscellaneous, Politics, Sex and relationships, Sports & Rec by Frank Sennett on June 14th, 2009 at 5:26 pm

Hunting for pageviews but unwilling to go the distance, the Chicago Tribune has posted a slideshow of last night’s World Naked Bike Ride in Chicago that delivers as much sexy as an edited-for-broadcast American Pie with extended footage of Eugene Levy. For those of you looking for a real expose on WNBR-Chicago, we’ve got your back(sides), with several juicy pics and raw footage from the Belmont El stop and Michigan Avenue. You’re welcome. Also, free yourselves from oil dependence, ok?

    The view from Belmont:

why are so many people in underwear, shorts or even fully clothed? Midwest conservatism?

More people wore clothes this year in Chicago because the temperature dropped into the 50’s. Still, plenty of nude cyclists on the ride, including myself. Sometimes you have to wonder if the clothed cyclists are voyeuristic or conservative or cold … Who can know?

I was one of the riders. I had on two pairs of underwear—it was COLD. Next year I’ll be completely naked. I promise.

I don’t know why they always have it so early ever year. They should wait until it’s too hot for clothing; like mid-July? I get the emails too but I didn’t even realize it already happened until today. Today, actually would’ve been an awesome day for it because of the muggy weather. Oh well…

How can we get a ride started in Des Moines?

Naked bike riding with clothes on is stupid. I mean, we are all naked under our clothing…all the time (duh). Kinda like doing the polar bear plunge with a wetsuit and a parka on.
I like the idea of scheduling this thing a week or three later next year.

As a former Chicagoan that really loked like fun….however, Mayor Daley (the original) must’ve been spinning in his grave.

I was Happy to see a larfe crowd,
But Not happy, because to many people were wearing clothes.
I was completly Naked, so I think all riders should be also, or atleast in undies.
DO NOT ALLOW PEOPLE TO RIDE WITH ALL THOSE CLOTHES ON !!!!!!
