Pitchfork Music Festival announces complete lineup; Sunday sold out

Posted in Music, Pitchfork Music Fest 2009, Summer festivals by Brent DiCrescenzo on June 19th, 2009 at 1:16 pm

Schedule Announcement Week continues, as Pitchfork follows quick on the heels of Lollapalooza in spilling the beans on its 2009 bill. Word also came that Sunday is completely sold out.

The (oddly named) stages remain the same, with the two main arenas (A & C) and the shadier B stage tucked amongst the trees on the south end of Union Park.

Two questions spring to mind: Why put anyone up against the Flaming Lips? Pity the Very Best. Secondly, two of the bigger rock bands, the National and the Black Lips, going head to head seems pretty silly.

Overall, avoiding the sun by sticking to the smaller stage until evening looks like a pretty valid option this year.

    Full schedule after the jump.
