When we launched Time Out Chicago in March of 2005, readers told us over and over again that they had no idea there were so many things to do in Chicago and that the magazine had given them a newfound appreciation for our great city. I had a similar feeling during the last few months while we were producing the premiere issue of our newest publication, Time Out Chicago Kids.

As the mother of two energetic boys, I’m always looking for new ways to entertain them without getting sucked into overpriced tourist traps. The Kids and Around Town sections of the weekly are great for that, but when it comes to kids, there can never be enough options. Parents told us they wanted more, too, and now we have it.
