A freelance photographer of ours, Calbee Booth, just texted the attached photo to us with the alert in the subject line. A call to Honey 1, the beloved barbecue joint run by the father-and-son team of Robert Adams Sr. and Robert Adams Jr., went directly to voice mail (not that we’d expect them to pick up in the middle of, well, you know, a fire) so we’re not clear on the full damage yet. Needless to say, in a time when money is tight for everyone, a setback like this is bound to sting, so we’ll keep you updated in hopes that you can show your support once the smoker is up and, err, smoking again.

Oh please, say it ain’t so. Honey 1 is the shite for delicious and truly affordable BBQ in the neighborhood… especially since Calvin’s is gone.
