Today (Thu 16), you have not one but two reasons to drop everything (therefore freeing your hands for shopping bags) and run over to the Gold Coast. The much-anticipated reopening of Barneys New York, now located at 15 East Oak Street, kicks off with a day of Champagne and doughnuts. Be sure to say hi to the doorman on your way in or out.
Then skip a few steps to Kate Spade (56 E Oak St) for some more bubbly and two hours (4–6pm) with Project Runway’s Tim Gunn as he offers up spring style tips for the ladies. Not to mention, if that picture with the Easter Bunny last weekend didn’t satisfy your craving for photo ops with important people, slap down $100 or more at the store and he’ll pose with you for a picture.
