I’ll admit, I haven’t wholly recovered from the holiday break, so I was looking for something simple to distract me at work today. Hang Stan is really nothing work than a pork-infused rendition of hangman, but what can I say, I like the little cartoon pig.

As per my desire, game play is simple. You have four chances to guess the letters in the puzzle and with every one you get wrong, the farmer taunts poor little Stan with phrases like “I’m gonna eat you up!” It’s worth noting that the puzzles are all pop-culture related. The categories are always music, movies and television from the 70s-90s - no obscure trivia here. You’re also working against a clock. You start with eight minutes and that time carries over into each subsequent round.

If you are successful, Stan skips away happily and you go onto the next round (until your time runs out). If you fail, Stan ends up on that mean farmers kitchen table with an apple lodged in his mouth. No pressure.
