I’ve always been pissed that voting in Chicago means not getting a cutesy little "I Voted!" sticker. So for the last few years, I’ve been making my own from the voting receipt. It’s really easy:
Materials:
* Mailing labels - 2" by 3" in size or larger
If you work in an office, there’s probably a bunch of them lying around the office supply area. The ones we have at TOC have our logo on them, but for this purpose, they work just as well as blank ones.
* Glue stick
* Scissors
Step 1:
Using the glue stick, spread the glue over the entire back part of your receipt. Make sure to go all the way to the edges or your sticker will look really janky.
Step 2:
Place the receipt over the non-sticky side of the mailing label. (Do not peel the label off the plastic sheet before you do this.) Run your fingers all around the receipt so that the glue sticks. Wait about 30 seconds for the glue to set.
Step 3:
Remove the mailing label from the sheet and use the scissors to trim any excess edges.
Step 4:
Put the receipt on your chest, leg or other body part that will draw attention to your sense of personal civic responsibility.

Much more creative than my plan: I wrote “YO, I VOTED!” on a post-it, decorated it with stars drawn with red and blue bics, and flaunted it in front of my coworkers.
what is loan? :)
