If you’re a local artist who’s always dreamed of creating your own Obama-themed art (a sculpture of his head like in Lionel Richie’s "Hello" video perhaps?) consider submitting your work to Sacred Art’s “Art for Change” fundraiser in October, which will benefit Barack Obama’s campaign as well as art programs in Chicago Public Schools [cps.k12.il.us]. Your piece(s) should have an “Art for Change” theme, “whatever that means to you,” says Sacred Art, which adds, “This will not be a 100% donation from the artist because we know like our public schools and Obama, you could always use more money!” Registration ends Aug 1.
