Robert Novak vs. pedestrian: A wish your heart makes

Posted in Politics by Scott Smith on July 23rd, 2008 at 12:53 pm

Politico is reporting that Chicago Sun-Times columnist, Prince of Darkness, McCain News Network anchor, and all-around Douchebag of Liberty, Robert Novak hit a pedestrian with his black Corvette and then proceeded to leave the scene.

The best part is that the bicyclist said a “black Corvette convertible with top closed plowed into the guy. The guy is sort of splayed onto the windshield.”

And Novak says, “I didn’t see anybody.”

I saw that, too, but discounted it since it’s well-known that Novak does not, in fact, use conventional human sight but in fact navigates the world with bat-like sonar used by all demons. So technically it’s true.

You know what’s not the best part? That a guy got hit by a frigging car!

Maybe he’s re-enacting Bonfire of the Vanities, in tribute to the soulless Reagan Era which he enjoyed so much the first time around and would undoubtedly love to see return.

      I bet they’ll fine him, a lot, like, $400!

The Trib reports a $50 ticket.

Guess I got just got carried away, sorry.

Well to be fair, the cyclist did have an Obama sticker on his bike fender. That means he’s fair game for Novak, right?… right?

      From Think Progress:

After Robert Novak struck a pedestrian in his black convertible this morning, news outlets reported that the victim suffered only “very minor injuries.” But D.C.’s ABC affiliate WJLA now reports that the pedestrian “is in worse shape than first thought.” The 66-year-old male victim “appeared somewhat incoherent, said the source who had seen the victim. The man appeared to have casts on his neck and back. The victim was X-rayed and a surgical team plans to evaluate him, the source said.”

It’s hysterical whenever you find out that self-righteous fools like Novak (and Dr. Phil) are the same old & bald guys trying to score with women by buying speedmobiles.
