Whatcha doin’ on Saturday? Why sunbathe in the yard when you can join Chicago’s premiere performance art brainiacs, Goat Island Performance Group, for a daylong symposium? If you haven’t heard yet, the group is disbanding—and this day of keynote speeches, panel discussions, performances, installations and other scholarly-absurdist goings-on is part of its long goodbye.
Join the Goats and their admirers Saturday 26 from 10am to 9pm in the 012 Performance Space at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, 280 S Columbus Dr. The day is free and open to the public. Lunch - yes! - will be served. Company manager John Rich is willing to field your inquiries at goatislandperformance at gmail.com.
