Apologies for the late post - I’m filling in for the vacationing Steve Heisler - but I was not near as bored at work as I hoped to be today.
I prefer simplistic online games. Anything past jump, punch, kick, move and I get irritated. Plus, when you’re trying to hide the fact that you’re playing games at work, dealing with elaborate tutorial videos (ahem, Pandemic 2) makes that all that much harder.
Enter The Black Knight.
You play the titular knight who resembles a grizzled version of the Fox NFL robot. Your job is to extract taxes from the local citizenry for your king, using the time-honored method of unnecessary violence. With each click of your mouse, down comes your plank o’ wood (which you can upgrade at Ye Olde Weapon Shoppe), and out pop coins from the physically-abused populace. Holding down the mouse before unleashing the pain gets you a bonus.
That’s it. You don’t even have to use the arrow keys to move. Just click-pound-upgrade.
* Cynics might say I’m merely blogging about this game as a ham-handed attempt at SEO-driven traffic. To them I say, "No, I just really enjoy this game. But when I realized the coincidence, I would be lying if I said I didn’t say ‘Ooooh!’"
